1 )  Ramanathaswamy temple :

The Ramanathaswamy temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva is located in the island of Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu.

It is commonly believed that in this place Lord Rama prayed to Lord Shiva. Legend has it that Rama worshipped Shiva in the form of a Shiva Lingam made of sand by Sita, while returning to Ayodhya. Legend has it that Hanuman was entrusted with the task of bringing an image of Viswanathar from Benares. Anticipating delay in Hanuman's return from Benares, Rama is said to have offered worship at a pre-chosen auspicious moment to a Shivalingam fashioned out of earth by Sita. This lingam is referred to as Ramalingam and the town is known as Rameswaram.

There is yet another Shivalingam here - Viswanathar said to have been brought by Hanuman from Banares. This Shivalingam is referred to as Kasilingam and Hanumalingam. Prayers are offered to Viswanathar before they are offered to Ramanathaswamy.

There are 22 Theertham ( Wells ) inside the temple compound , It's believed that all your sins are washed away and health, wealth regained after the bathing from all these wells.

2 ) Kamakhya Devi Guwahati

Kamakhya Devi Temple is considered to be one of the oldest among the 52 shakti peeths.

There is no idol, image and statue of Devi in the temple, but there is sculptured image of the yoni or Vagina of the goddess in the corner of the cave in the temple, which is the object of worship and reverence.

Three Devi as Tripura Sundari, Matangi and Kamala reside in main temple premises and other seven as Baglamukhi, Chinnamasta, kali, Tara, Bhairavi , Bhuvaneshwari and Dhumavati are established in individual temples outside the Kamakhya Devi temple.

This temple is one of the significant destination for Tantric worhsipper and it is said none tantric get the perfection in his tantra method unless he once visit this temple and worship Maa kamakhya Devi. 

The temple has three main chambers. The chamber in west direction is large and rectangular in shape but not used by general pilgrims for worship. The central chamber is of square shape with a small idol of Devi, a later inclusion. The sculpted images of Nara Narayana are inscribed on the walls of the central chamber.
The middle chamber takes step to the sanctum called as Garbha Griha of the temple; it is in the form of cave which consists a Vagina-shaped orifice in the bedrock.

It is believed that during the month of Ashaad Goddess Kamakhya undergoes the biological process of menstruation due to which the water of river Brahmaputra turns red in colour. Goddess Kamakhya is also known as the bleeding Goddess or the menstruating Goddess.
