1. Tirumala Venkateswara Temple

Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, popularly with the name of Tirupati Balaji Temple and Tirumala Temple, stands majestically on the top of Tirumala Hills.One of the most visited temples in India“Tirumala Venkateswara Temple” is devoted to Lord Venkateswara who is an epitome of Lord Vishnu. Visited by around 50,000 to 1, 00,000 devotees regularly.
The Tirumala shrine is a masterpiece of Dravidian architecture. The main sanctum contains 2 m high standing idol of Venkateswara on a lotus flanked by his consorts Bhudevi and Sridevi.The temple wall carry’s many inscriptions and the mark of various empires like the Pallavas, Cholas, Pandyas and Yadavarayas.

Here devotees perform many interesting rituals such as Head Tonsuring, Thulabharam, Arjitha Seva etc. to please the god.

The main festivals celebrated here are Vaikuntha Ekadasi, Ramanavami, Janmashtami, Rathasaptami and Vasanthotsavam. The ‘Brahmotsavam’ is the most important festival held every year in the month of September with full zeal and enthusiasm.

A holy place with lots of vibration, Peaceful atmosphere.The whole religious town Shirdi is identified through Sai Baba. “Sai Baba”, the saint who is known and admired for his miracles and teaching give importance to “Shraddha” means trust and “Saburi” means tender feeling.

Millions of admirers, despite of their religion, come to the temple all year-round. The main festivals celebrated here are Ramanavami, Guru Purnimaand Vijayadashmi.

Following points should be noted while going to the mandir:
I.       There are 3 types of entries in the complex for Darshan :
a) Free - Avoid this if you dont want to stand in line for 3-4 hrs !
b) VIP pass - This costs 200 bucks per head. During a rush hour, it takes 20-30 min in the line to get VIP pass and another 20-30 min waiting in the line for Darshan. For VIP pass, you need an ID proof like driving license
c) Senior citizen pass - it takes around 10 min in the line to get senior citizen pass. The counter is situated near gate no. 3. You are eligible for this pass if you are above 60yrs of age. If you are above 70yrs, then a free pass for attendant is allowed. Carry your age proof

II.     VIP pass for Darshan can also be booked online which would save your 20 min in line
III.    Booking for Aarti is done months in advance. So, if you are interested in Aarti, then book it 2-3 months before your travel
IV.    Entry for VIP pass people is at gate no. 1. If you have a senior citizen pass, you can enter Gate no. 3 which is comparatively closer.
V.     During rush hour, you would get only few seconds to see sai baba statue before being pushed out through the exit. So, try to plan your visit during early morning or evening
